Dr. Diane’s Super Power Smoothie

Never underestimate the power of a smoothie! I drank this every day for 3 years and I can positively say it helped me:

  • Lose 55 pounds of post partum baby weight and keep it off.

  • Change my skin to a clear, acne free, glowing complexion that no cream or treatment was able to help me with before.

  • Regulate my digestion and helped with the chronic constipation I’ve had my entire life.

  • I went from catching every cold in a half-mile radius to almost never getting sick.

  • Less aches & pains overall.

  • Alkalize my body infusing it with insane energy (I couldn’t get past 2pm without crashing for a nap because of such low energy . I stopped napping completely).

  • It left me so satiated, curbing cravings and crowding out some of the more processed junk I was used to eating.

I drank my super power religiously 6 x/week, so it’s not a one shot cure but neither is a single class at Barry’s Boot Camp – consistency is what gets you results. Admittedly I also wasn’t eating a box of Oreo’s afterwards; it is part of an overall lifestyle. But it was a MAJOR part. It was also my FIRST segue into leading a healthier lifestyle and a critical one in my overall transformation. 

Every single one of the ingredients in this Alkaline Nutrient Powerhouse has real medicinal properties, so it’s no wonder I experienced all those positive benefits. I won’t bore you with too many of the scientific details but here’s an idea of what ingredients like Aloe, Turmeric, Parsley, Celery, and Avocado can do:

I typically drank this as a late breakfast meal replacement or after a workout but any time of day works.

The blender I use and love is by Vitamix, which has stood the test of time with over 3 years of overuse and still works like brand new! Worth every pricey penny.

For those that me, know how obsessed I am with meal prepping. The #1 way to maintain healthy habits is to keep things accessible and readily prepared. I have a found an easy way to to Pre-make these “smoothie sets” for the entire week so it only takes a few seconds to throw the ingredients into a blender. This prep will increase the likelihood of you drinking it regularly (even when in a rush) so you can reap the same benefits I did!

Meal Prep “Smoothie Sets” (store all in the fridge):

  • Peel a bunch of ginger root and store in a ziplock bag in the fridge for the week

  • Do the same for the Turmeric root

  • Peel the Aloe and cut into 1-2 inch slabs and store in a glass container 

  • Pre package 6 individual zip lock bags with the correct amount of cucumber, celery, parsley and a peeled lemon washed and ready to go.
